Mary Poppins ages well, both musically and thematically. The story of children struggling to get a bit more of their parents' attention is evergreen -- and perhaps even more relevant these days. Julie Andrews' fresh-scrubbed singing and upright, common-sense manner never fail to reassure kids and adults alike that there is indeed a world where untidy rooms -- and lives -- can be magically swept into shape. Oh, and then there are the songs: "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," "Chim Chim Cher-ee" and "A Spoonful of Sugar," which are as delightful to sing now as they were decades ago.
