Mere months after issuing a jazz-trio arrangement of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, this group returns with a winning batch of originals. Lovely opener "I Hear You" helps the album strike a less angsty pose, out of the gate, than 2012's Made Possible. But the post-rock feel is never that far away, as the rhythms on "Gold Prisms Incorporated" prove. "You Will Lose All Fear" kicks off with a show-tuney abandon that sounds like a new trick for the group. And the romanticism of the title track sounds stalked by a loping sense of trouble, too -- like any properly executed Western.
