Cherry-picking a dozen songs first defined by male performers and collecting them under her gentle folk-rock canopy is as interesting an idea as this Australian pop singer has ever struck upon. That means familiar numbers from Tom Petty ("The Waiting") and Neil Young ("Only Love Can Break Your Heart") get mixed in with a few surprises, most notably Aussie songwriter Josh Pyke's understated "The Summer." Imbruglia consistently errs on the side of good taste rather than adventure, but if you've ever wanted to hear a Mumford-ized take on "Friday I'm in Love," you've come to the right place.
